Shamrock the Block set for March 13

Shamrock the Block 2010, Richmond’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day bash, is set for March 13 from noon-6PM at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market: bands, food, crafts, fun for the kids and of course, beers.

TODAY: Downtown Loft Tour AND Shamrock the Block

The Downtown Loft Tour 2009 will have busses and folks back and forth between 10AM-5PM today. Shamrock the Block will be going on from noon-6PM and will necessitate the closing of Grace, Franklin, and 17th Streets.

The 6th annual Shamrock the Block is tomorrow from noon to 6 pm. Free admission, pets allowed. Come out and celebrate rain or shine, but be aware a few streets will be closed for the event including Grace, Franklin, and 17th Streets.

Shamrock the Block 2009!

Get yr belated St.Patrick’s Day on at Shamrock the Block 2009 @ 17th Street Farmers’ Market this Saturday from noon–6pm. Free admission!

This year’s festival plans on putting the “rock” back in shamrock. Starting at noon, several of Richmond’s favorite local bands are set to take center stage along with plenty of green and golden beverages for everyone. For the kids, there are games and entertainment along with lots of local vendors with an emphasis on “the green”, so bring the whole family. Pets are welcome!

5th Annual Shamrock the Block

It’s that time of the year and spring fever is kicking in! What better way to kick off the season then hanging out with your friends St. Patrick’s Day weekend as we put the “Rock” back in Shamrock. This all ages event will feature live music from classic rock favorites The Georgia Satellites and new rock newcomers, Louis XIV. There will also be a children’s area, vendors, lots of great food and plenty of cold beverages. In addition, Shamrock the Block is going “Green” and will feature environmentally friendly initiatives including a new recycling program from Waste Management – How to make your home more “Green”. Plus, the generators used on site will be powered by Bio-Diesel. Thanks to our sponsors: Bud Light, Waste Management, 96.5 The Planet and Y101. Proceeds from Shamrock the Block benefit Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now).
