Come on out for the 10th Annual James River Outdoor Coalition Outdoor Equipment Sale
Great deals on gently used paddling, hiking, camping, skiing and biking gear, plus clothing and loads of other outdoor stuff. Sunday, April 25th, 12 noon-4PM First & Hull St. near Plant Zero:
Anyone is welcome to bring their gently used equipment and help JROC at the same time. The club receives 10% of all sales to benefit the James River Park System. You keep the rest. A proud part of the Manchester District’s Earth Day celebration with arts, crafts, music and much more.

Celebrate Earth Day Richmond!
This year’s Earth Day Celebration in Richmond will take place on Sunday, April 25, from noon-5PM along Hull Street north of the Mayo Bridge and the organizers have high expectations:
“With new sponsors and the booming development taking place in Manchester, the planning committee is full of new and exciting plans for this year’s event,” said Noel McKenzie, director of the Enrichmond Foundation and co-chair of the planning committee along with Foundation board member Sandra Booth and Tonie Stevens of Style Weekly.

Earth Machine returns to Richmond
The City of Richmond Clean City Commission has a limited supply of the Earth MachineTM that will be on sale April 18 in honor of Earth Day.
The Earth Machines will be available for purchase at 320 Hull Street from10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for $45.00.

City receives Tree City USA Award
The City of Richmond is receiving its 17th Tree City USA award from The National Arbor Day Foundation. The award will be given during a ceremony that will include a Tree City flag presentation, a tree planting and a give-away of free tree seedlings to festival attendees by the Virginia Department of Forestry.
The award ceremony will be held Saturday, April 19, 11AM, at the City ShowMobile Stage, 2nd and Decatur streets, during the Richmond Earth Day 2008 Festival in Manchester.
