Finalists announced for 12 12 Gallery’s National Juried Photography Competition 2009
Fifty works by 49 photographers were selected for the 12 12 Gallery’s National Juried Photography Competition 2009. Curated by Julian Cox (curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta), the show opens October 4th at 2PM.

12 12 Gallery has announced the call for entries for their fourth annual photography competition, the National Juried Photography Exhibition 2009. This year’s juror is Julian Cox, who currently serves as the Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia.

12 12 Gallery’s spring exhibition
Welcome spring with 12 12 Gallery’s newest exhibition featuring: Reflections, Refractions, Inflections by Wisconsin-graphic designer Kim Beckmann; Tea is a Cup of Life by Richmond-Watermedia artist Marti Fann; I Dream of Africa by Richmond-abstract acrylic artist Inge Strack.
Join us for the artists’ reception on Sunday afternoon, April 5th, from 2-5 pm. The show runs through Sunday, May 10th.

12 12 Gallery and artspace accepting exhibition proposals
Exhibition proposals are now being accepted by the two galleries:
12 12 Gallery: Currently scheduling for 2010, the gallery can exhibit all media with only a few restrictions. Space limitations do not allow for work that is larger than 60″ in length or width, weighs more that 60 lbs, or requires installation. Gallery intends to exhibit the work of at least one photographer per exhibition period, which is approximately 5 weeks. artspace: Currently scheduling for 2009 – 2010, the gallery can exhibit all media and installations, where work or components of the final piece must fit through an 8 ft wide entrance. Gallery opens a new exhibition on the fourth Friday of each Month, with the exception of December. National Juried Photography Exhibition @ 12 12 Gallery
12 12 Gallery highly successful National Juried Photography Exhibition opens Sunday, October 5th 2-5PM. Juror Carol McCusker, Curator of Photography, Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego, CA, selected 50 works by 33 artists from a total of 826 images submitted by 211 artists from the US, Canada, Mexico, and Italy. McFadden selected for 2008 Harnett Biennial
Two prints by Martin McFadden, 12 12 Gallery artist-in-residence, were selected for the 2008 Harnett Biennial of American Prints organized by the University of Richmond Museums and juried by master printer James Stroud. McFadden’s were the only photographs and he is the only Virginia artist chosen for this national exhibition.

Manchester National Juried Fine Art Exhibition 2008
12 12 Gallery’s Manchester National Juried Fine Art Exhibition is the gallery’s first all media show for 2008. Juror and Curator N. Elizabeth Schlatter, Deputy Director and Curator, University of Richmond Museums, selected 53 works from 46 artists from a total of 593 images from 132 artists. Awards presentation and artists’ reception on Sunday, April 6th, from 2-5PM. The exhibition runs through Sunday, May 4th.
