news on the urban farmhouse market and cafe

Richmond BizSense has a few more details on the Urban Farmhouse Market and Cafe opening this fall.

The menu will be simple and fresh, with most items consisting primarily of three or four ingredients. Customers can expect a wide variety of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches…

    Sounds like it is going to be a great addition to the area.

    Though the word MARKET in the name had me hoping for a place that was both a cafe and small market where you could pick up a pint of ice cream, box of cereal, beer, or other small items. I wouldn’t even mind if it was fancy overpriced local/organic stuff. No one really seems to be able to make that work in the Slip area.

    And yes I know Southern Railroad deli sells beer, but what about ice cream, chips, limes, or salsa to go with it?
