Downtown Plan meeting Thursday for Shockoe

The third of the recently announced neighborhood-level Downtown Plan meetings is scheduled for Thursday for Shockoe Slip, Shockoe Bottom, and Tobacco Row. The meeting will be held at Main Street Station from 6-8PM.

The City of Richmond Planning Commission invites property owners and interested members of the public to continue the discussion on the Draft Downtown Master Plan at neighborhood-oriented meetings. There are 6 meetings scheduled for Manchester, VCU and Downtown Neighborhoods, Shockoe, Broad Street & Jackson Ward, James River, and City Center.

    I was going to go cover this meeting but I’ve got that flu thats going around.

    Rapport attended and has some words on the meeting, though it doesn’t sound like much happened.

    I wanted to attend and ask about plans for parking for the area. The new developments at Cedar and Broad & at Cold Storage will be putting pressure on the area AND removing existing surface parking.
