I remember that ‘85 flood. A friend of mine worked at PB Kelley’s (now Havana’s) and we had to take a boat like the one above and enter via the second floor.
Prior to the 1985 flood, some vacant bottom buildings still had mud washed windows from previous floods.
In high school, my girlfriend and I use to walked down to PB Kelly’s to check out the latest hardcore bands. At that time there was Domino’s Dog House, Winston Churchhill’s, and the Main St. Grill across the street. I miss the alternative scene that use to be in the bottom.
